About the Foundation
The
Foundation's purpose is to raise funds and provide support for Fisher-Titus
Medical Center, Norwalk Memorial Home and North Central EMS. Through
philanthropy the Foundation works to enhance the health-care services available
to our community. With the community's support we have been able to help fund
new technology, pre-hospital care, community outreach programs, support groups
and capital building projects to improve and expand inpatient and outpatient
services for residents in the communities we serve.
As a donor to the Fisher-Titus Foundation, you help Fisher-Titus Medical Center
accomplish its mission of providing quality health care in a cost effective
manner, while respecting the dignity and uniqueness of each individual we
serve. The Foundation's purpose is to financially support projects based on the
needs of our community.
The Importance of Philanthropy
The communities
surrounding Fisher-Titus Medical Center have supported the hospital since
its inception in 1916. The overriding theme of this support is the desire to
"make a difference, close to home." Because health care is critical
to the fabric of any community, supporting the work of the Medical Center
strengthens the entire region served by that facility.
Fisher-Titus Medical Center's role in improving the health of area residents is
evident in the work we do saving lives, providing diagnosis and treatment of
diseases, and in preventing diseases and injuries. FTMC employs more than 800
residents and helps attract industry to the area by providing top quality
health care.
Because FTMC is a non-profit community hospital, we provide health care
services to all, regardless of a patient's ability to pay.
Your contribution to local health
care makes a difference.
