Dr. Farid Said Gives Back to the Community by Teaching Medical Students 09/03/2010 (Press Releases) - In his career, Dr. Farid Said has
been a preceptor to over 150 medical students. He does it as a way to give back
to the community, as well as help students receive a wide variety of
experience. Recently, the board certified general surgeon was recognized as a
preceptor by the Sandusky Area Health Education Center (SAHEC).

County Striders will kick off 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at the North Coast
Inland Trail (Rails to Trails) on Northwest
Street in Norwalk.

Brown had a roundtable discussion with key leaders at FTMC, viewed a demonstration in the FTMC Technology Center and visited a room on the floor to see Smart Room technology. |

Three Local Fifth Graders Recently Awarded Prizes for Winning Entries to Tobacco-Free Bookmark Contest 07/22/2010 (Community News) - Three local fifth graders recently were awarded prizes for their winning entries submitted to the Tobacco-Free Bookmark Contest sponsored by Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk and
Mercy Hospital of Willard. The first place winner, Jacob Grant, of Milan Elementary School, received an iPod Nano. His bookmark, "Smoking Is for The Dragons," was printed and distributed to area libraries. The
contest's second place winner, Kathleen Schaaf, of St.Francis Xavier School in Willard, earned a $50 Wal-Mart gift card and third place winner, Colleen Miller, of Main Street School in Norwalk, was
awarded a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. All three students also won a pizza party for their fifth-grade class courtesy of FTMC and Mercy Hospital of Willard. Three

FTMC Volunteers Recognized 07/15/2010 (Press Releases) - NORWALK - Volunteers at Fisher-Titus Medical Center logged more than 60,650 hours in 2009. During the 34th annual Fisher-Titus Medical Center Volunteer Recognition Luncheon banquet held recently at the Shady Lane Café, Fisher-Titus Medical Center honored 90 volunteers with special awards for achieving milestones ranging from 100 hours to 9,000 hours of volunteer service.
